Our Mission

We believe that students should be able to participate in high-quality arts learning experiences in school and the community. Children in Oklahoma are losing art opportunities due to shifting priorities and an on-going budget crisis. With much uncertainty about what’s next, the community must come together and stand up for arts education.

We believe Oklahoma should be a state where each child participates in high-quality arts learning experiences in school and the community. Students are losing those opportunities due to shifting priorities and budget cuts that disproportionately impact students who live in poverty and rural areas. The current budget challenge is extremely difficult for our officials at all levels. With much uncertainty about what’s next, they are facing no-win decisions that will have consequences for years to come. Over the past few months, state, district and school leaders have already made decisions about educational priorities that threaten to remove the arts from the schools, with more decisions pending. The loss of arts in our schools and communities, even for a few years, will have long term negative effects on the students and the schools. It has taken years to build quality arts offerings into our children’s schools, and unless we come together, we stand to lose all that we have gained. Join us in speaking up for students by publicly supporting arts education. Music: Radiohead "Let Down" performed by Christopher O'Riley
